Background

OptiFreight® Logistics (OFL) is the premier freight management provider to the healthcare market with 65% bed share of the acute care facilities. 200+ freight experts work with customers to identify and drive meaningful cost savings within freight spend. 

Research repeatedly states that although freight management is a concern, it is not a high priority and is competing with bigger priorities for mind/time share. In addition, freight management is considered as more of a commodity and that most of the freight management vendors are at parity with each other. The lowest common denominator always come down to price, although the overall value of collective programs differ greatly from competitor to competitor. OFL has greatly struggled with how best to communicate the collective value to the customer and how our solution is differentiated. In addition, OFL has struggled to take credit for, or communicate the value of the work that is already happening on the customers’ behalf. 

The Assignment

Our assignment was to develop and launch new collateral/touchpoints to consistently and effectively articulate the customer benefit and unique differentiation that OFL delivers. We developed different communication tactics to increase engagement, conversion and compliance, including:

  • A brochure/folder system to drive conversion and act as a sales aid.
  • A series of infographics to communicate complex ideas in quick, visual ways.
  • An animated video to deliver the importance of the standard practices.
  • Digital banner ads to drive cardinalhealth.com visitors to the OptiFreight Logistics site to communicate value proposition of OptiFreight Logistics. 
  • Environmental artifacts to keep top-of-mind in the environment that is endemic to freight management (i.e. docks but also HR and marketing) to drive the behavior desired.
  • A sales deck to enable sales consultants and AMs to expand existing relationships and gain new customers.
  • A launch campaign for employees and customers to support and communicate the new way of showcasing OptiFreight Logistics.
